Mini Professors is now running in your area! This innovative and fun class for pre-school children will open up a whole new world of scientific adventure to your child. Every week we cover a new and exciting topic and each lesson is packed full of experiments, singing, stories and loads of fun. The classes are very popular, so book early to avoid disappointment.
Feel free to visit a class but please call in advance to ensure places are available.
I hold a degree and a PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Bristol. While working as a research scientist I became involved in Science Communication, volunteering with a mobile DNA laboratory that toured around US schools.
After becoming a mum, I moved back to Norfolk and left my lab bench behind. For the last 4 years I have been running hands-on-science clubs and Gifted and Talented programmes in primary schools for over 900 children in total.
I am also a registered STEM Ambassador (DBS checked) and regularly volunteer in schools and nurseries to promote Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths.
I love getting children involved in science – their natural affinity for the subject and their inquisitiveness makes them a pleasure to teach! It is a privilege to be working with the next generation of scientists.
I passionately believe in the Mini Professors ethos; “Tell me and I forget, show me and I remember, involve me and I understand”. In my own experience, I have found that getting stuck in and doing science experiments is the best way for children to learn about science.

Mini Professors has achieved Gold Accredited status with the Children’s Activities Association.
Mini Professors Preschool Science Classes. Our Mini Professors get to wear their own mini lab coats and learn about the basic principles of scientific experimentation, whilst having lots of fun and generally getting stuck in.
A typical class starts with our Mini Professors Welcome Song, followed by an introduction to today's topic, with pictures and props, then our first experiment, where we encourage all our Mini Professors and their grownups to join in (and maybe get messy!). Next we have a short video, related to the scientific topic, then a story followed by another fantastic science experiment. At the end of the lesson we summarise what we've learnt and end with the Mini Professors Goodbye Song and (very importantly!), each child is given a sticker
Places are strictly limited and therefore early booking is advised.
Each Mini Professors class is 40 minutes long.
Three week special introductory offer is £12 for three weeks and thereafter the costs are as below.
Classes must be booked in blocks - £65 for 10 weeks and £35 for 5 weeks.

Regretfully no concessions can be made for missed sessions or holidays within a booking, you can however send a friend in your place should you need to miss a class. If you wish to do this, please contact us before the lesson.
Terms & Conditions
Pricing A booking consists of a 10 week term at £65 or 5 week booking at £35 This is payable within 7 days of the booking or one week before the start date of the course booked, whichever comes first.
Saturday classes and holiday specials can be booked individually at a price of £7.50.
Booking Confirmation
Your place will only be secured once full payment has been received and you have confirmation of this from Mini Professors. We are currently unable to accept deposits to secure a placement.
Younger siblings policy
We welcome younger siblings from birth to toddling age but ask that for reasons of health and safety, they remain in either your arms, slings, car seat or pushchair for the duration of your Mini Professors class.

Discounts and Special Circumstances
This is only possible in exceptional circumstances and at our discretion.
Refunds and missed classes
We are unable to refund monies for missed classes however, if you are unable to attend your regular class, it may be possible for you to come along to another venue that same week subject to availability or to offer your space to a friend
Change/Cancellation of venue and class times
In the event changes occur to your class or venue, every effort will be made to communicate the changes to you as early as possible. If we have to cancel a class; the payment for this class is either transferrable to the end of your block booking or a refund can be made. In unforeseen circumstances it may be necessary for us to cancel a venue indefinitely, sometimes at short notice. In the event we cancel a venue, we will attempt to firstly offer you a place at another venue. If this cannot be offered or the venue or time is inconvenient to you a refund will be given for remaining weeks owed.
Weather
In weather conditions such as snow, if our class leader can get to the venue, then the class will count as being run, and if you can't make it then it will be a missed class.
