Experience

WELCOME TO THE BABY SENSORY HASLEMERE'S TEAM.
Our award winning classes are taught at BABY SENSORY BARN, at Applegarth Farm, in Grayshott - near Liphook, Hindhead and Haslemere. Our barn is the UK's first dedicated Baby Sensory venue.

ANGELA KENNEDY (Owner & teacher):
B.Prim.Ed.
Regional Franchisee for Guildford, Godalming, Haslemere, Hindhead, Petersfield, Midhurst and Chichester. Angela was trained by Dr Lin Day, Baby Sensory’s Founder. Angela has been a Baby Sensory Teacher since September 2009. In January 2013, Angela opened her own venue: Baby Sensory Barn, in Grayshott.
About Angela:
At university I studied a four year, full time teaching degree, specialising in Junior Primary Education. Once qualified, I taught for seven years at an excellent preparatory school. I was absolutely passionate about my teaching, and I taught children between the ages of five and eight. During my teaching years, I worked closely with paediatric occupational therapists and child psychologists, which enabled me to further support the pupils in my class. I gained further knowledge of the benefits of sensory activities to enhance learning and the positive effects they have on the development of a child. I developed a particular interest in early childhood development and how these formative years lay the foundation for learning. Since starting a family, I have had the joy of being a mum to our two boys, Matthew and Hugo. For my husband and I, our children are the greatest gifts we could ever receive. I have cherished the time I have spent with them. I have been fascinated by each stage of their development, knowing that each new 'first' would contribute to fundamental building blocks in their future learning and development. There have been many occasions when I have wished I could 'press the pause button,' as these early years pass all too quickly. Baby Sensory appealed to me, as it enabled me to return to a vocation I loved, run my own business, and I could still have the flexibility to be available for my own family. When I first observed one of Dr Lin's classes, I found her to be an inspirational teacher. I know I'll gain so much from her expertise. I feel proud to now be associated with Dr Lin's Baby Sensory program and I'm delighted to be able to provide such unique, high quality classes to our local community. I find it incredibly touching to watch parents and babies interacting and spending quality, special time together. I consider it a real privilege to share in these special moments, and to work with babies in their precious first year. I look forward to warmly welcoming you and your baby, to Baby Sensory Barn.
