Hi, our names are Jodie and Michael Woods and we look forward to welcoming you to
Toddler Sense Helensburgh.

ABOUT US
We have three wonderful children: Taylah (born October 2001), Jack (born December 2013) and Imogen (born January 2015).

Michael and I met very shortly after my arrival in London (from Australia) in February 2011...in each other we have found our soul mate!  For the 16 years prior to Jack's arrival in 2013, I was a paralegal working for some of the largest law firms in the world.  I was a sole parent and sole provider for Taylah for the first 9 years of her life, working full time and studying part time to provide and care for us both, but Mike and I decided that upon Jack's arrival things would be dramatically different.  I was going to have time with my baby... to bond and enjoy every precious moment I could with him.

Mike is in the Navy and we had shifted to Plymouth just weeks before Jack's arrival... it was essential that shortly thereafter I got out and met people.  That first Baby Sensory class was one of the best experiences of my life.... and Jack thoroughly enjoyed it too.... although he did sleep through the goodbye song and for another couple of hours after that.  All the stimulation tired him out!!

We continued with Baby Sensory until Jack "aged out"... he had far too much energy to contain him any longer... that was a sad, sad day - finishing our Baby Sensory journey…however it did mean we could embark on our Toddler Sense journey – more adventures, more excitement, more learning and development!

Toddlers learn best when given the freedom to explore things for themselves. Each week is themed with specific activities that create a range of exciting adventures.  Every week at Toddler Sense we produce a vast array of exciting, stimulating materials and equipment, many of them unique to our programme.  Classes include a wealth of soft play equipment, inflatable fun, gym equipment and lots more. The set-up is different each week. You need to see it to believe it!

 

Toddler Sense is a fantastic experience - there is absolutely no way you and your little one cannot benefit in some way from attending these classes.... be it through socialisation and meeting new mums, or the enormous array of developmental and sensory activities your child is undertaking and experiencing.   And let me just add here - these are not just classes for mum and child... dad, grandma, grandpa, aunts and uncles are more than welcome at any time!  Perhaps it is more convenient in your household for your Toddler Sense journey to be undertaken by dad and little one instead!

Description

Toddler Sense Helensburgh classes will be running in Helensburgh and the surrounding area. The Award Winning classes are to be held weekly in Helensburgh, Balloch and Dumbarton. These locations are easily accessible for parents living in the local communities including; Cardross, Arrochar, Alexandria, Renton, Garelochhead and Bonhill.

 

Toddler Sense brings together sensory play, movement, and a repertoire of exciting, upbeat classical and cultural music as well as jazz, pop, rock, rhythmic sounds, and dance from different world cultures. All of the senses will be stimulated by the carnival-style activities such as the conga crocodile, colourful ribbons, pom-poms and scarves, parachutes, bubbles plus lots more!

 

Can you imagine climbing a snow mountain, going on safari, walking the pirate plank, taming a fiery dragon, or catching a shooting star? Children with sensory impairments will naturally respond to the light shows, the adventure tunnels, and the specially designed soft play equipment. 

 

We provide a stimulating and fun environment for your little one to enjoy multi-sensory activities which will aid their development and fuel their imagination.  Classes are suitable from 13 months to 4 years.

Prices

Sessions cost £7 and we run fixed terms of between 8 and 12 weeks.

Each session will last one hour. A typical term is 10 weeks so this would cost £70.00.  Payment for the term is required prior to the commencement of term. 

Unfortunately, there are no concessions for missed sessions, but if you know you are going to miss a session then you can gift it to a friend, or you may be able to attend another one of our venues if spaces are available.  Please speak to Jodie about your options.
