Hello and WELCOME to Baby Sensory in Northern Beaches and Lower North Shore, Sydney!

I am Gemma and I run Baby Sensory in Northern Beaches! I qualified as a Primary School Teacher many years ago. Once I had my own baby Freddie, I found out about Baby Sensory I was immediately hooked! It was everything I had been looking for; meeting Mums in a similar situation to myself, baby development advice, sensory experiences for my baby, and lots of fun! I taught Baby Sensory for 4 years in England before making the move to Sydney! 

A bit about me...
I am originally from a small pennisular in the UK called "The Wirral" and I moved to Sydney in 2012, also to a pennisular- the Northern Beaches. We now live in Dee Why. I love to be up early in the mornings to walk, swim  and watch sunrise I live with my little boy Freddie, who is now 9, and my pug! 

 
 As a teacher before, I have always been totally interested in babies and children and their development, but now running Baby Sensory, I also have really enjoyed learning all about business and marketing (and accounts!!-not!)

 I have so many interests and passions and they seem to grow by the week! I absolutely LOVE learning anything new, and love learning all about parenting, baby and child development, baby sleep, relationships and community, marketing and business, alternative schooling and learning, I love going to our local food markets! I love to travel and visit new places, go for long walks, eat yummy food...

My little boy is a total joy and watching him play soccer at the weekend it really fills my heart, we have special time each day (which is perfect to begin with your babies) just 15 mins of focused present time, no distraction, follow their lead. He loves it! 

Hobbies

Morning Run, Playing my violin, learning the Ukelele, Yoga, Walking my dog, Learning to surf (2 lessons so far- still very scared but also love it!) Reading and learning, cycling, playing the piano, travelling and visiting new places.


 ABOUT BABY SENSORY 

Baby Sensory provides hundreds of sensory development activities that are great fun for parents and babies to share in the vital first year. The classes include fibre optic light shows, bubbles, bells, musical fun, baby signing, puppet shows, amazing light balls.. the list goes on! Brain games, light shows, sign language, music and dance, songs and rhymes, baby whispering, exploratory play, bonding and massage, therapeutic games, ideas for home use and much more! Lots of fun, informal classes great for meeting other parents/carers. The experiences are also suitable for babies with sensory or physical impairments

Qualifications

BA HONOURS Primary Teaching specialising in Advanced Early Years.
8 Years Teaching Experience.
 Full Baby Sensory Training, plus 7 years Baby Sensory teaching experience
Qualified to Train other Baby Sensory class leaders/ franchisees across Australia
 Grade 5 piano and Grade 7 Violin
 Safeguarding
Being a Mum! (most importantly!)

Description

Imagine taking your baby on a jungle or water adventure, to a winter wonderland or to world of new sounds and sensations? Baby Sensory includes a wealth of rich sensory experiences that will delight both you and your baby. No session is ever the same! Babies have an amazing capacity to learn in their first year and we don’t waste a single second of this valuable time.

Activities include every possible sensory experience from sign language, fibre optic light shows and amazing bouncy light balls to rainbows, bubbles, bells and a whole lot more! All activities are accompanied by fun, upbeat music, some of which is original to Baby Sensory. From Mozart to Rock and Roll, there is something to suit every baby and every occasion! Baby Sensory is suitable for babies between birth to 13 months and is the only baby programme that is specifically designed and offers a complete approach to learning and development from newborn to 13 months.

The varied sensory experiences enable babies to develop in every possible way. Each class is an hour in length, split into three sections which is vital for babies attention spans. The exploratory playtime is an opportunity for babies to have free play time, and for parents to make friends. The cost of a Term is $195 (or pro rata if you join part way through a term)
