Lisa Stickells - Franchisee Owner
I first heard about Baby Sensory during my antenatal classes shortly before the birth of my son, Stanley. He was born 6 weeks premature, which was a bit of a shock - the first few weeks were a real struggle as we weren't prepared for his arrival! Stanley also had colic so I was keen to find an activity that he would find both stimulating and soothing. Baby sensory was perfect. Due to the popularity of the classes, there were limited spaces available so I put my name on the waiting list and managed to get a place to start when Stanley was just over 2 months old. He absolutely loved it (as did I). The magical atmosphere, singing, signing and varied play totally mesmerised him and I could quickly see how much it was helping with his development. My husband was then made redundant, so we took the opportunity to move back to Norfolk (where I grew up). I was keen to continue Stanley's Baby Sensory classes, but was sad to learn there were no classes in North Norfolk. That's when I decided that teaching Baby Sensory would be the perfect job for me!
I've now been up and running since December 2013 and due to the arrival of my 2nd baby I have employed the fabulous Andrea to take over the classes.

I was looking for somewhere to take my 6mth old daughter Ella, where she would have fun and make her smile between her naps and milk. There was an advert for a Baby Sensory taster session, so we both went along not knowing what to expect. WOW. We both loved it!! Not only was it great fun, but Lisa told us about the benefits of each activity and how they would help with Ella's learning and development.
There was: singing and signing, music and movement, a puppet show, parachutes and lots and lots of bubbles!
Plus there was an exciting play area for Ella to explore and for me to socialise with all the other parents. All of the equipment used was spotlessly clean. We signed up for the ten week course there and then . Ella really looked forward to her Friday morning sessions and so did I! Each week there was a different theme so we were always thoroughly entertained for the full hour.
The months flew by and before too long Ella was ready to graduate from Baby Sensory. I was quite sad that our sessions were coming to an end until Lisa announced that she was expecting a baby and needed someone to cover her maternity leave. I jumped at the opportunity and after an interesting, intensive and inspiring training course ...here I am! I am absolutely loving meeting all the parents and babies and having fantastic fun making you and your baby smile too!
