Registration:
TASTER BOOKING: Click the 'Book Now' button on the Timetable tab next to the venue and time of choice. Choose the Taster option from the drop down box and fill in the online form. This will also reserve your babies place for the current term.
If a class says 'Wait List' please DO complete the form as spaces may become available as babies move up a class or mums go back to work. However the Class is currently FULL with mum's paid up until the end of term. If there is a high demand for classes, another class may be added to the programme. You will be kept informed of any developments. We do recommend babies start at around 2/3/4 weeks so it is advisable to start classes wherever there is availability and also join a wait list for your preferred class. See this article by our Founder Dr Lin Day 'Giving your Baby the Best Start'!
TERM BOOKING: After your Trial Session you just need to log back on and select the class you wish to join. A place will have been reserved at the Taster Class you went to, so if you move classes just drop me a message so I can release the place for another baby.
ADVANCE BOOKINGS for BUMPS: I usually release the next terms bookings in the second half of the current term. Keep an eye on the Baby Sensory Loughborough facebook page for availability and class release dates. You can also register baby as TBC if you don't know the sex and just put your due date and the birth date.
Class Costs:
It's important you pick the right class for baby and so if you would like to try before you buy, you're welcome to! Please click 'book now' to register for your 3 week trial for £20.

Payment is made online using the secure payment page with a credit or debit card.
Classes are popular! So to save disappointment bookings are made termly, payment required before attending.
Age Ranges:
In busier venues we try to run back to back classes and in this instance we split the age range allowing a keener focus on specific age development. Our 0-6 month class is a rough guide based on stage/ability. Once your little one is sitting up unaided, or you feel they are ready to mix with more active babies, moving onto the 7-13 month class is often your next step. However, all 0-13 month classes are 100% suitable for full range of development stages. New classes will most likely be 0-13m so a broad range of babies can attend.
Party Events:
Themed Seasonal classes happen through out the year! Please view our Baby Sensory Loughborough Facebook page for more details - Non baby sensory members are always welcome and our older babies can come back for a reunion class too! - Party class prices may vary from regular clas

FAQ's:
Is my baby too young?
It is never too early to introduce your little ones to a variety of sensory experiences.
Babies have begun learning from inside the womb already and as they come into this world they hit the ground running!
A newborn’s brain contains more than 100 billion brain cells (neurons). Some of these neurons were wired in the prenatal period for specific functions such as breathing and heartbeat. However, the majority of synaptic connections for vision, language, hearing, smell, taste, movement and learning will be formed in the first three months of life.
Stimulation from birth increases neural growth and whilst we certainly do this in our classes, it is also important to mention that touching, talking, singing, reading, smiling, signing and playing with babies from birth, nourishes the brain and develops potential for a lifetime.
Our classes provide a rich environment full of interesting sights, sounds, smells, taste, colours, textures and language, which builds a foundation that will make all subsequent learning easier.

What do we do in class and why have an Exploratory Play?
The structure of the class is divided into 3 parts and reason behind this is because your baby has a natural play-rest-play cycle, which lasts about an hour.
The first 25 minutes we “Say Hello to the Sun” followed by a number of stimulating activities varying from; puppet shows, baby massage, traditional rhyming and visual activities to sing and sign, texture exploring, messy play and making music (to name but a few!)
We then break for 20 minutes, where the babies can rest and explore the Exploratory Play under their own steam or Free-Flow Play.
During the Exploratory Play there are no set rules or guidelines. Your baby decides what toys interest him/her the most, how he/she explores them and how long the play will last. Free-flow play enables your baby to entertain himself/herself for short periods, which will become a beneficial life habit.
The Exploratory Play also provides a social setting for the parents. Here you can meet new Mum’s, try out equipment and materials, gain ideas for home use and spend quality time with your baby.
We then head back to the Sensory Area for the remaining 15 minutes for more stimulating activities before “Waving Goodbye”
