Have fun in our multi award winning, research based, international developmental classes while learning how different activities stimulate, educate and develop your baby’s brain. 

Enjoy stimulating, educational and bonding activities including:-

Magical light shows, baby sign language, musical fun, brain games, bonding and massage, therapeutic games, social play, baby exploratory play, songs and rhymes, music and dance, amazing light balls, puppet shows, bells, bubbles and parachutes.

Classes run in term blocks, between 9 and 11 weeks, throughout the year in line with the school terms as much as possible.

Activities and experiences vary weekly.  There is always something new and exciting to look forward to.  You may join class at any time during the term providing there is availability.

Classes are new to Melbourne and we anticipate to be booked out very quickly so please get in quick so you don’t miss out on this lovely class with your baby.

OUR LOCATIONS

The Avenue Uniting Church - Corner of Blackburn Rd and The Avenue, Blackburn.  The church is a seven minute walk from Blackburn Train Station and there is plenty of parking at the church and in surrounding streets. 

Citrus Dance Studio - . Citrus dance studio is located at Unit 151, 45 Gilby Rd, Mount Waverley, within the Axxess industrial estate.  There is parking outside the studio and in surrounding parking bays in the estate.

 

BABY SENSORY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Personal photography is allowed at all classes with the consent of all parents concerned. No photographs taken at classes can be used for anything other than personal use without written consent from Baby Sensory and the parents involved. We ask that sensitivity to this matter is maintained at all times. Small mobile phone videos are allowed again with consent, full length videos are not permitted under any circumstances.

Baby Sensory expressly forbids the right to reproduce any part of our lessons in any form (e.g. on the internet, DVDs, photographs etc.). Anyone suspected of continually filming or photographing the lessons for any purpose of publication will be asked to stop filming and leave the course.

Baby Sensory cannot accept any responsibility for the loss or damage of any personal possessions.

Any baby with a medical condition considered by a health care professional to be contagious should follow the recommended incubation period before re attending classes.

Never bring your child to classes if they have any illness such as diarrhea, chicken pox, impetigo, conjunctivitis or a viral or bacterial infection.  Please wait until your doctor has given the all-clear before returning to classes.

In the instance of sickness and diarrhea your child must have been clear of all symptoms for at least 48 hours before attending a lesson.

No place is fully guaranteed unless full payment of the term fees is made.

All places are non-refundable/non-transferable.  Baby Sensory is under no obligation to refund or transfer your money to another term in the event that you are unable to attend part of or the entire course. Unfortunately, what seems like one simple request is an impractically huge administrative task when spread across hundreds of clients. Should your class leader have availability on a more suitable class for you it is at their discretion to allow the transfer.  You are welcome to attend an alternative session if you are unable to make your own session but this is dependent on availability and must be organised with your class leader first. (See make-up classes below.)  You are welcome to offer your place to a friend as a gift.  If you wish to offer your place to another, please notify us as soon as possible.  Thank you for your co-operation.

Should a class be cancelled by Baby Sensory a suitable alternative shall be provided at no cost to the client. In most cases an extra class provided.

Should you need to change classes we will do our utmost to accommodate you, but unfortunately cannot guarantee it.

We regret that, once the course has commenced, we cannot issue any refunds or credits.

Baby Sensory is under no obligation to refund lessons that may be missed by local adverse weather when the venue and environs are safe and accessible and lessons are held. We regret that we are unable to offer automatic refunding or rescheduling of lessons in the event of adverse conditions local to yourselves preventing you from attending a scheduled class.

Term length and cost is unfortunately non-negotiable.

Make up classes are capped at two per term for full term fee paying customers, and one per term for customers commencing the term after the first class has started.  Make up classes are to be claimed in the same term as the missed class, within two weeks of the missed class and are subject to availability. Make up classes can not be guaranteed are only considered under the following conditions:-

 - At least two hours notice (via text) prior to the commencement of your regular class that you are unable to attend.  (24 hours notice is preferable so that others have the opportunity to prepare to be slotted into your place.)

  - Send a text request that you would like to do a make up class the afternoon before the class you would like to attend.  We are unable to take bookings for make up classes prior to the afternoon before the class. Please note that any phone communication to the class leader once classes have commenced on the day of the class may not be responded to due to the phone being on silent during class time and the workload of the class leader on the day.

Please note:- Baby Sensory will endeavor, where possible to grant your request of a make up class, however this is subject to availability and can not be guaranteed.

Flexibility to classes and fees (i.e. parents going back to work) may be agreed with baby sensory after the completion of a full 10 week term and at your class leader’s discretion.

In the instance that a hall cannot be used in the short term, we will endeavor, where possible, to re-schedule your lesson. In this instance Baby Sensory is not responsible for any travel expenses incurred.

Confidentiality is paramount and will be maintained at all costs by Baby Sensory unless the law should request otherwise (i.e. child protection)

Every effort will be made by Baby Sensory to provide a hazard-free zone, however parents are always responsible for the safety and well being of babies and children.

Safety information will be given during some activities.  All activities are safe if this information is followed should you have any concerns please speak to you class leader.

In the best interests of your child, please do not ask class leaders to mind your child at any time including while you visit the bathroom or move your vehicle.  Baby Sensory staff can not be responsible for the care of your child at any time before, during or after the class.

In the unfortunate event of an accident please report this to your class leader who will help you to locate a first aider and in the completion of the necessary paper work.

Class leaders are not trained first aiders however will work with the emergency services to help where possible in order to preserve life.

As class leader, I fully recognise my responsibilities for child protection. I will ensure that any suspicion of abuse is promptly and appropriately responded to. The welfare of the baby is paramount.

Baby Sensory has a commitment to ensure that the equipment and activities are of equal value and of equal worth to everyone regardless of race, culture, language, gender, age, experience, religion, background, ability or disability.

Equipment is thoroughly cleaned prior to each class, should you find anything unsatisfactory please make your class leader aware of this. Should you not get the response you expect, you can view our full complaints procedure at your class.

All classes are cleverly researched to enhance the development of your baby, should you want more information on a particular activity please ask your class leader.

Baby Sensory may, at its own discretion, refuse entry to a client to its courses if it is felt that the client's behavior is unreasonable.

From time to time we may update these terms by sending you either an updated version or notification of minor changes. You are free to not accept these changes but we would ask you to notify us in writing of your non acceptance within 14 days of your receipt, failing which we will be entitled to treat our agreement with you as being subject to the updated version.
