Experience

Hello!
I’m Vikki Moore and I started attending Baby Sensory classes in West Wickham when I became a mummy in April 2011 to a gorgeous little boy, Finlay. We were so enamoured by the Baby Sensory experience that when the opportunity arose to become part of this amazing company I jumped at the chance!  Finlay and I loved the Baby Sensory classes and they soon became the highlight of our week! For me it was wonderful to get some quality time to play with Fin and to learn new techniques and games to play with him at home and for my little man, it was an hour of pure fun! Because each Baby Sensory class is different, it meant the activities were always interesting for both of us. Fin also loved interacting with other babies of a similar age and experiencing new sensations each week. Come along to a class in Beckenham or West Wickham - they are very special and great fun. I’m really looking forward to meeting you and your little ones at Baby Sensory!

UPDATE: I loved attending the Baby Sensory classes so much that I decided to have another baby, Theo in 2014 so I could have the experience the classes as a mummy again!  Whilst I was looking after my second little trouble-maker, Lindsey (also a past Baby Sensory mummy) trained with Dr. Lin Day and the team to become a class leader.  Lindsey is an amazing class leader who puts her heart and soul into making each activity special - book a space now and try the class for yourselves!

Qualifications

Description

Baby Sensory introduces you and your baby to a world of rich and varied sensory experiences in a creative and enjoyable environment to encourage learning and development.

The various baby activities aim to build up a vocabulary of sensory experiences (e.g. visual, auditory and tactile), to enhance physical contact (massage, reflexology, touching, cuddling and rocking) between you and your baby and to promote the development of speech through the use of sign language, music, song and puppets.

Each week there will be a wonderful selection of activities including, bells, shakers, drums, beaters, scarves, puppet shows, fibre optics, flashing lights, bubbles, dancing, feathers, parachutes and lots of special activities unique to Baby Sensory!!

We have over 50 different lessons so you can experience a different theme every week for a year!

All activities are excellent for developing physical, social and emotional, and language skills, co-ordination, awareness of the world, a love of music and the concentration which is needed for further development.

Payment for the term is due in advance, prior to the term commencing.  Our preferred method of payment is bank transfer to the details provided in your booking confirmation email.  If you are unable to pay via bank transfer you can pay the class leader in cash .

The fees for the 7 week term are £59.50 (pro-rata if you join mid-way through).  We do not offer refunds or discounts for missed sessions but if you know in advance you will miss a session you are welcome to send a friend in your place.  If you are doing this, please make sure you notify the class leader for our records!

Booking Terms and Conditions:

If you have a prior appointment and are unable to make your usual session we may be able to fit you into another class that week in an alternative venue, availability permitting. Please contact Vikki to check.

Regretfully we are not able to give discounts for missed sessions and they can not be rolled over to the a new term.  If you know you will miss a class we do encourage you to send a friend in your place.  Please just let us have their names in advance for our registers.

If your class leader is unable to run your class because of illness etc Baby Sensory will try and substitute an alternative class leader. If this isn't possible you will be notified of cancellation by text or email. Baby Sensory will endeavour to run a 'catch up' class during the term to replace your session. If this isn't possible you will receive a full refund.

In certain exceptional circumstances Baby Sensory may be prevented from running classes due to situations beyond their control. These may include floods or treacherous driving conditions (snow or ice) which would pose a risk to our class leaders and parents if they ventured onto the roads. On these occasions Baby Sensory would endeavour to offer a 'catch up' class at the end of the term but if this wasn't possible Baby Sensory reserves the right not to refund due to the exceptional nature of the circumstances.

Twins. We offer a 25% discount on twin bookings.

When you have reserved a place in your class you will receive an acknowledgement email which includes the venue, term dates and the class fee. Baby Sensory can only hold your place for 7 days without payment. You will receive a reminder but if payment remains outstanding Baby Sensory reserves the right to cancel your booking.

Illness policy

Group settings, in which people are in close contact and share equipment and props, inherently foster the transmission of infections such as colds, flu, gastroenteritis and other illnesses.  To prevent the spread of infection in the setting, we recommend that you:
1. Stay at home if you, or your baby or child, is unwell.
2. Avoid contact with anyone until 48 hours after the last bout of fever, sickness or diarrhoea.
3. Visit your GP if your baby is under 3 or 4 months of age and has a high fever, flu or gastroenteritis.

We look forward to welcoming you to class soon!
